BUSHFIRES - WHY BUSHFIRES ARE RELEVANT TO AUSTRALIA?

Bush fires pose an immense threat to Australia because we are a very hot country, we don’t get much rainfall and we have lots of bush land. For example, a few weeks ago in Victoria there were bush fires that spread very fast across bush land. They caused lots of damage to the environment; they also burnt houses and properties. Many people lost their lives during the bush fires; they were unable to escape from their homes and properties. Some people were trapped in their cars. They also burnt livestock and wild animals. Bush fires are started by arsonists or by a natural cause.
